The Tatuaje Havana VI Verocu Blue No. 1 is a 6 1/4 x 52 toro grande wrapped in shade-grown Nicaraguan Corojo ’99 rosado, with a Nicaraguan binder and filler. Of the two sizes the Verocu Blue launched with in 2022, this is the longer one, and My Father Cigars makes it in EstelÃ.
What It Tastes Like
In its November 22, 2022 Cigar Insider, Cigar Aficionado scored the No. 1 at 88 points and called it medium in strength. Tasters picked up toast, gingersnap, walnut and a little coffee bean, ending on oak and molasses. Cigar Coop scored it 90 points on September 30, 2023, rating strength and body both medium. Its reviewer found natural tobacco and fruit up front, with earth, cedar and white pepper behind them.

About the Havana VI Verocu Blue
According to halfwheel, the blend took Pete Johnson roughly four years, and his early plan called for Ecuadorian habano claro on the outside; Corojo ’99 rosado won out. On Cigar Coop’s Prime Time show, Johnson called it a “GarcÃa puro.” Cigar Coop reported it was set to debut at the July 2022 PCA trade show, and halfwheel dates its release to August 2022.
