Description
Madre Tierra Cigars Connecticut comes from a genuinely young, family-run brand built on vertical control — Madre Tierra owns the entire process from seed to smoke, using tobacco grown on their own Ecuadorian and Dominican farms.
Construction & Origin
This 6 x 52 toro is finished in a Connecticut wrapper, hand-rolled in Tamboril, Dominican Republic, by a family with more than 50 years of tobacco-growing experience behind them. Founded by siblings Juana De La Cruz and Lisandro alongside retired Air Force flight engineer John Deans, Madre Tierra made its market debut with a “Cut-n-Light” event at Smoke Rings-72 in Merritt Island, Florida, and has since expanded into a full seven-blend regular lineup, all built on the same 6 x 52 toro format.
Flavor Profile
Smooth and complex, this cigar offers a tasty array of sweet and spice — the brand’s mildest regular offering, positioned as an easy entry point into their broader lineup, which ranges from this Connecticut all the way up to a full-bodied Pennsylvania Broadleaf.
Why It’s Sought After
Madre Tierra has grown fast for a genuinely new brand, expanding to a seven-blend catalog within just a couple of years of launching in the U.S. market. For smokers looking to try a rising, family-owned boutique name before it’s a household one, this Connecticut offers a smooth, approachable starting point into the brand’s story.
