Construction & Origin

At 4⅞ x 40, this box-pressed petit corona carries the same reddish-brown, Cuban-seed Rosado Sun Grown wrapper that made Opus X history in 1995, when Carlos Fuente Jr. proved the industry wrong by growing genuine wrapper leaf in the Dominican Republic. Wrapper, binder, and filler are all fully Dominican, hand-rolled at Tabacalera A. Fuente y Cia, then cured in rum barrels and aged at least a year before release. The smaller ring gauge lets that signature Opus X wrapper flavor dominate more than in the line’s larger vitolas.

Flavor Profile

Medium-to-full bodied and genuinely complex, expect cedar, leather, cocoa, roasted coffee, pepper, and tart plum, with earth and citrus notes on the cold draw. Reviewers describe a smoke that keeps evolving — pepper and strength build if you puff faster, while sweetness and wood come forward at a slower pace.
