The Asylum 13 Ogre 8 x 80 is an eight-inch, 80-ring cigar whose wrapper twists green candela and dark Habano leaf into barber-pole stripes over Nicaraguan binder and filler. Cigar Coop lists this size as a 2015 addition to the Ogre, a separate blend sold under the Asylum 13 name.
What It Tastes Like
We found no critic review of this size. Reviewing the original 7 x 70 on March 18, 2013, Cigar Coop scored it 89: cream and grass came first with chocolate and pepper behind, then grass and pepper pushed forward in the second half, with strength rising from mild-medium to medium. Its April 3, 2014 take on the 5 x 50, also 89, was a little gentler.

About the Ogre
Cigar Coop reported in November 2012 that Asylum was readying the Ogre, its fourth blend, as a lone 7 x 70. Three sizes followed in 2014, then this 8 x 80 in 2015. halfwheel reports it is made in Nicaragua.
