The Arturo Fuente Anejo No. 55 is a 5 7/8 x 55 cigar with a pointed head, rolled in maduro Connecticut broadleaf over Dominican binder and filler. It belongs to Fuente’s Añejo line, whose wrappers rest in Cognac barrels before rolling.
What It Tastes Like
JR Cigar describes the No. 55 as woody and earthy, sweetened by honey and molasses, with a little spice. Cigar Coop, covering the whole Añejo blend, found cocoa, nuts and cedar-like spice. A 2014 Cigar Aficionado story said the No. 55 had once earned 94 points; JR Cigar lists an 89 from the same magazine. Retailers rate it full.

About the Añejo Line
Cigar Coop named Añejo to its Hall of Fame in 2012, noting that at the time Fuente shipped it to authorized shops in modest lots once or twice a year. In 2014, Cigar Aficionado wrote that Fuente makes Añejo in small quantities and that the line usually earns high-80s marks in its blind tastings.
