The Fuente Fuente OpusX Double Robusto is a 5 3/4 x 52 cigar made entirely from Dominican tobacco, with a wrapper grown on the Fuente family’s own Chateau de la Fuente farm. It is one of the core sizes in the Fuente Fuente OpusX line.

Cigar Aficionado scored the Double Robusto 97 points (rating dated January 2021) and ranked it No. 2 on its Top 25 Cigars of 2020, listing it as medium-full in strength. Their tasters found it powerful but refined, with warm spice and caramel, a liquor-soaked cherry sweetness, and a long finish that recalled rum casks. Earlier reviews scored it 93 points twice in 2020 and 91 in 2010.

About the Fuente Fuente OpusX
OpusX premiered in New York City on November 18, 1995. Fuente grew its own Dominican wrapper, a leaf the country had little history with, and the company describes OpusX as the first ever Dominican puro. The Double Robusto first appeared in the 2005 Opus22 collection before joining the line as a regular size.
