Description

The Viaje Satori Zen takes its name from a Japanese term for sudden spiritual enlightenment — an annual, IPCPR/PCA-exclusive release Andre Farkas first created in 2010 as a thank-you to the retailers loyal enough to attend the trade show in person.

Construction & Origin

This 6¾ x 52 box-pressed double perfecto is finished in a dark, toothy Mexican San Andrés Maduro wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos, hand-rolled at Aganorsa’s factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. Satori releases in three vitolas — Karma, Nirvana, and Zen — with each size limited to roughly 150 boxes of 25. The line has appeared only a handful of times since its debut, most recently returning in 2023 after a five-year absence.

Flavor Profile

Medium-to-full bodied, this cigar delivers rich notes of chocolate, baking spice, vanilla, dried cherries, mild pepper, and coffee, with reviewers describing genuinely complex, rapidly shifting flavors and unusually heavy smoke production throughout. As with any small-batch Viaje release, individual experiences vary — some reviewers rank it among the brand’s best work ever, while others find it less consistent than Viaje’s more famous lines.
