The Stolen Throne Crook of the Crown Robusto is a 5 x 50 robusto pairing a dark Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper with an Indonesian binder and Nicaraguan filler. It was the debut cigar from Stolen Throne, the Virginia company owned by JR Cannon and Lee Marsh, and it first shipped in 2019.
What It Tastes Like
Stogie Press gave the Robusto 92 points on July 27, 2019, calling it medium in strength with a small step up around the halfway mark. Its tasters found pepper and dark chocolate early, cinnamon toast and leather midway, then oak near the nub. CigarsLover scored it 90 on August 9, 2021, noting cocoa, walnut and fresh wood.

Halfwheel reports that Crook of the Crown began Stolen Throne’s partnership with Noel Rojas, whose Nicaraguan factory also produces the brand’s later lines. In 2024 the line added a 6 x 46 corona gorda billed as a fifth-anniversary release.
