The Room101 Johnny Tobacconaut Maduro Gordo puts Room101’s all-Nicaraguan maduro blend into a stout 6 x 60 frame, the biggest ring gauge of its three vitolas. Cigar Aficionado credits A.J. Fernandez with making it in Nicaragua and dated the first retail shipments to June 5, 2026.
What It Tastes Like
We found no independent review of the 60-ring size as of October 2026. The closest reference is halfwheel’s three-cigar test of the 5 x 50 Robusto, on a page with no publish date. Pepper hit hard at the outset before coffee and cocoa nibs settled in with soil and leather. By the midpoint, charred meat and anise led in two of the three samples, with a blackberry sweetness on the retrohale; the last third added salted nuts and dark chocolate, plus a cinnamon note on the finish. The company’s press release, as quoted by halfwheel, names earth, espresso and dark cocoa.
