Description
The Room101 17th Anniversary Toro is a 6 x 52 Nicaraguan puro, with wrapper, binder and filler all from Nicaragua, made by AJ Fernandez to mark 17 years of Room101. It is the blend’s only size; halfwheel lists August 3, 2026 as the release date, the day Cigar Aficionado says shipments to retailers began.
What It Tastes Like
We could not verify an independent, dated review yet, so no score appears here. Stogie Press’s release report of August 6, 2026 calls it full-bodied and describes a peppery, spicy opening that settles into cocoa, roasted coffee and earthy flavors. Cigar Aficionado reported on August 10, 2026 that it is built bolder than the medium-bodied 15th Anniversary.

Room101 17th Anniversary Toro FAQ
How strong is the Room101 17th Anniversary Toro?
Our listing says full, which fits Cigar Aficionado’s report that it was designed as a full-bodied smoke and outmuscles the 15th Anniversary.
Who makes the Room101 17th Anniversary?
AJ Fernandez. Cigar Aficionado places production at his factory in Estelí, and halfwheel names the company as Tabacalera AJ Fernandez Cigars de Nicaragua S.A.
Is it the same blend as the Room101 15th Anniversary?
No. Both are all-Nicaraguan 6 x 52 toros, but halfwheel reports the anniversary blend changes each year, and Cigar Aficionado describes the 17th as much stronger than the medium-bodied 15th.
Why is there no Room101 16th Anniversary?
According to Cigar Aficionado, the 15th Anniversary did not reach stores until February 2025, so Room101 moved straight on to the 17th; Cigar Coop also notes that no 16th came out in 2025.
Room101’s other blends, from Farce to Johnny Tobacconaut, are gathered on our Room101 brand page.
