Description
The Montecristo 90th Anniversary No. 2 is a 6 1/8 x 52 cigar made only from Nicaraguan leaf, with a Jalapa wrapper over tobacco that halfwheel says includes EstelÃ, Condega and Ometepe leaf. Plasencia rolls it in Estelà for Altadis U.S.A., which launched it in 2025.
What It Tastes Like
Across three samples, halfwheel found a creamy, sweet opening, with peanut butter on the draw, doughy bread in the smoke and pepper on the retrohale. Midway, pepper climbed while peanut, wet cedar and a first hint of soil came in; the final third went charred and earthy, showing graham cracker or coffee grounds, with heat in the last inch. Strength read mild throughout as body reached medium-plus.
