The newest release in the Forbidden family of Opus X the Templo de Oro is straight from the Fuente family factory in the Dominican Republic. The blends aren’t revealed at this time but traditionally the Opus X and by extension the Forbidden are Dominican puros utilizing the highest quality tobacco Fuente produces. The mildest of the Opus that have been released it’s creamy with a sweet floral aroma and notes of baker’s spices and cedar.

Description
Fuente Fuente Opus X Templo de Oro #13
Templo de Oro — Spanish for “Temple of Gold” — is one of the most talked-about Opus X releases in years, arriving in late December 2025 with a striking golden-hued Colorado Claro wrapper, a dramatic departure from the darker, more familiar Opus X look. Each cigar comes dressed in a gold foil sleeve, matching the “Temple of Gold” name.
Construction & Origin
Part of the Forbidden X family, the Templo de Oro #13 is a Dominican puro built entirely from tobacco grown at Château de la Fuente. The #13 vitola measures 6″ x 58, the largest of the four Templo de Oro sizes released (alongside the No. 1, No. 3, and No. 8), and comes in 20-count boxes.
Flavor Profile
Master blender Carlos “Carlito” Fuente Jr. has kept the exact blend under wraps, but by all accounts this is among the mildest, creamiest Opus X releases ever made — a refined, smooth Dominican puro with notes of cedar, toasted wood, soft spice, and a subtle sweet floral aroma with hints of baker’s spices.
Why It’s Collected
Produced in extremely limited quantities, the Templo de Oro line has quickly become a sought-after addition alongside other rare Opus X releases like Forbidden X and Heaven & Earth. Its striking golden presentation alone makes it stand out in any collection.
