Product Description:
The Fuente Fuente Opus X Rosado Oscuro Oro Robusto is a super-limited expression of one of the most legendary cigar lines ever made — a rarity even within a brand defined by scarcity.
Construction & Origin
Opus X made history in the 1990s as the first-ever Dominican puro, using a wrapper grown entirely on the Fuente family’s own Chateau de la Fuente estate — a feat considered impossible before Carlos Fuente Jr. pulled it off. The Rosado Oscuro Oro takes that legendary blend further, finished in a darker, extra-aged Sun Grown Rosado Oscuro wrapper unique to this release, and marked by a distinctive gold foot ribbon that sets it apart from standard OpusX bands. Every cigar is hand-rolled at Tabacalera A. Fuente y Cia in the Dominican Republic.
Flavor Profile
Full-bodied and rich from the first draw, this cigar delivers notes of dark chocolate, coffee, and light pepper, developing into creamy sweet bread, leather, and earth through the middle third, with a long, slightly sweet, raisin-tinged finish. Reviewers consistently note flawless construction — a tight, oily wrapper and a perfect draw are hallmarks of this release.
Why It’s Sought After
OpusX has been called the pinnacle of cigar perfection by enthusiasts for decades, and the Rosado Oscuro Oro sits within the “super-limited” tier even by OpusX standards — genuinely difficult to find, even at premium retailers. Boxes have historically sold well above retail once allocations run out. This is one of the rarest, most collectible items you can offer, and a genuine draw for serious Fuente collectors specifically searching for this release by name.
