The Arturo Fuente Rosado Sun Grown Magnum R 44 is a 4 7/8 x 47 robusto wrapped in an Ecuadorian rosado sun grown leaf, with Dominican binder and filler. It is the smallest size in Fuente’s Magnum R series.
What It Tastes Like
Cigar Aficionado has scored this size 94 points twice. It was No. 5 on the 2012 Top 25, rated medium, with a savory, leathery center and sweet spice. It was No. 6 on the 2016 Top 25, rated medium-full, with cinnamon, dried fruit, nuts and maple. A 90-point review in October 2023 found toasted pecan, caramel, nutmeg, ginger and citrus at medium strength.

About the Magnum R
In its 2016 Top 25 write-up, Cigar Aficionado says Carlito Fuente Jr. went against the industry’s push toward strong cigars with this one, aiming for full flavor at medium body. Fuente’s site says the series debuted in four sizes named for their ring gauge (52, 54, 56 and 58) before the 60-ring Super 60 joined (Cigar Aficionado’s December 2009 launch report listed three of them), which is why the box-count name of the 44 stands out.
