Description
The Arturo Fuente Black Pink Black Panther is the longest cigar in Fuente’s Black Pink Vintage 1960’s Series: a 6 5/8 x 55 shaped cigar, tapered at both ends in Cigar Aficionado’s description, whose Connecticut-cultivated Habano-seed wrapper covers a Dominican core. Cigar Aficionado credits its production to Tabacalera A. Fuente y Cia, located in the Dominican Republic.
What It Tastes Like
Nobody independent has scored or formally tasted the Black Panther yet, as far as our research shows. Cigar Aficionado’s March 26, 2026 report stresses the dark Connecticut-grown leaf but holds back tasting notes for a future Cigar Insider vertical, while Cigar Inspector’s October 30, 2025 launch piece says the new blend pushes the flavor toward deeper, more earth-driven territory. Treat that as a preview, not smoking notes; no outlet has published a strength rating.
Who It’s For
- Figurado collectors who want the longest shape in the Black Pink series.
- Rare Pink fans curious how a dark Connecticut-grown Habano wrapper changes the Fuente formula.
- Smokers with an open evening, since this length and ring call for an unhurried session.

About the Black Pink Line
Per Cigar Coop, Fuente previewed Black Pink packaging at the 2024 PCA trade show and brought the cigars themselves to the 2025 show; halfwheel files the line under the Hemingway Series family and ties it to the Rare Pink series Fuente introduced in 2020.

Arturo Fuente Black Pink Black Panther FAQ
What size is the Black Panther?
Its measurements are 6 5/8 inches by a 55 ring gauge in the size charts from Cigar Aficionado and halfwheel, which makes it the longest Black Pink vitola.
What wrapper does the Black Panther use?
Cigar Aficionado, halfwheel and Cigar Coop agree it is Habano tobacco cultivated in Connecticut, and two of them describe the leaf as dark. Dominican tobacco fills the cigar, while the binder goes unnamed in every report we read.
Is Black Pink the same blend as the original Rare Pink?
No. Cigar Aficionado’s March 2026 article calls the two blends entirely separate, and Arturo Fuente’s Rare Pink page gives that earlier line an Ecuadorian wrapper.
