FOAB stands for “Father Of All Bombs” — a nod to a real, actual bomb nickname — and it’s the sister release to Viaje’s equally explosive MOAB (“Mother Of All Bombs”), both part of the brand’s expansive Skull and Bones series.

Construction & Origin

Skull and Bones launched in 2010 and has since grown into Viaje’s biggest series by far, with nearly 50 different releases to its name — many of the early ones, including FOAB, named after real bombs and weapon systems. FOAB itself first debuted in 2012, went quiet, then returned unexpectedly nearly a decade later. This Short Toro measures 4½” x 56, a true Nicaraguan puro handcrafted at Aganorsa Leaf’s TABSA factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, using a dark, oily Nicaraguan Sun Grown Criollo wrapper over all-Nicaraguan binder and filler. True to Viaje’s usual playbook, releases are genuinely limited and tend to sell out fast whenever FOAB resurfaces.

Flavor Profile

Full-bodied and genuinely powerful — the pre-light aroma alone carries real oak, leather, and black pepper, and that intensity follows through into the smoke itself: espresso, dark chocolate, earth, and a heavy dose of pepper, with a distinctive salty finish that’s become part of the FOAB’s signature character.
