The Viaje Chicharrones Original is a 4 1/2 x 50 robusto with a Nicaraguan corojo wrapper around Nicaraguan binder and filler. It is the corojo blend in Viaje’s Señor Andre’s Chicharrones series, named for the fried pork-rind dish.
What It Tastes Like
The reviews we found cover the slimmer 2015 debut (48 ring). Cigar Coop scored it 89 in March 2015, where dried-fruit notes of raisin and prune sat over natural tobacco. halfwheel’s unscored 2015 review moved from peanut and earthy cream to nutmeg, white pepper, dark chocolate and coffee. For the 2025 batch, Smokingpipes lists earth, nuts, pepper and a sweet, creamy side.

Viaje launched the series in March 2015 at 4 1/2 x 48, in 90-count boxes holding 30 of each blend. A thicker 4 1/2 x 50 re-blend followed in 2018, and halfwheel reported a July 2025 return with box-pressed cigars and new blends.
