The Plasencia Alma del Fuego Flama is a 6 1/2 x 38 box-pressed panetela and the slimmest of the three core sizes in Plasencia’s Alma del Fuego line. Its sun-grown Jalapa wrapper covers a binder and filler that include Ometepe Island leaf, all Nicaraguan tobacco grown by Plasencia.
What It Tastes Like
Cigar Aficionado gave the Flama 92 points in its February 2026 issue and rated it medium-full. The panel noted a dark, sharply pressed wrapper and an even burn, with gingerbread spice and walnut that reminded them of a festive cake, then leather, coffee and earthy tones. Earlier reviews of this size scored 91 in December 2024, citing dark chocolate and dried chili, 90 in August 2022 and 91 in December 2019.

About the Alma del Fuego Line
Plasencia introduced Alma del Fuego at the 2019 IPCPR trade show as the third of five planned Alma releases, following Alma del Campo and Alma Fuerte. Cigar Aficionado reported its Ometepe leaf was aged seven years.
