The Perdomo 10th Anniversary Sun Grown Epicure is a 6 x 54 toro from Perdomo’s Reserve 10th Anniversary Box-Pressed Sun Grown line, a Nicaraguan puro with a sun-grown Cuban-seed wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler. Every leaf is aged six years, and the wrapper picks up roughly 10 extra months inside bourbon barrels.
What It Tastes Like
Cigar Aficionado’s Cigar Insider gave the Sun Grown Epicure 88 points on September 15, 2020, and rated it medium-full. The panel described a glossy wrapper with a red cast and a mostly earthy profile accented by red pepper, herbs and leather. Cigar Coop’s William Cooper scored it 90 in March 2021, finding earth and wood at the core and pepper pushing forward near the end.
