What It Tastes Like
As of October 2026 we found no dated independent review of any Before Night Falls size, so we quote no tasting notes or scores. Padilla’s own product copy calls the Cuban-seed Corojo wrapper bold and the Jalapa and Estelí filler intense; that is the maker’s pitch, not a review. Our listed strength of medium-full is a store rating, not a review finding.

About Before Night Falls
Padilla showed the line at the 2025 PCA trade show, his first booth there in nearly a decade, and halfwheel listed a summer 2025 release in Robusto, Toro, Churchill and Gordo sizes. The title borrows from Reinaldo Arenas’s 1992 memoir, which traces the Cuban writer’s path from prison to his 1980 escape to the United States.
