Padilla Cigars
Padilla cigars at Cigar Castle feature Before Night Falls, released in 2025, in four sizes: Robusto, Toro, Churchill and Gordo (listed here as the Double Toro). Each one is authentic and humidor-stored at our shop near Tampa.
Before Night Falls
Named after Reinaldo Arenas’s 1992 autobiography, Before Night Falls is made at Best Cigars S.A. in Nicaragua, in partnership with Yaxel Ortiz. It pairs a Corojo-seed wrapper with Nicaraguan filler from Estelí and Jalapa.
Which size should I pick? Choose the Robusto (5 x 52) for a shorter smoke, the Churchill (7 x 50) for the longest or the Gordo (6 x 60) for the thickest.
About Padilla
Ernesto Padilla, the son of Cuban poet Heberto Padilla, founded Padilla Cigars with his brother Carlos in 2003.
Is Padilla the same as Padrón? No. Padilla and Padrón are separate cigar companies with different families behind them.
