The Lure Maduro The Lil’ Trout Robusto is a 5 x 52 box-pressed Nicaraguan puro that wraps a dark maduro leaf around an Estelí binder and filler grown in Estelí, Condega and Jalapa. Halfwheel, Cigar Dojo and Stogie Press all say Lou Cross’s Lure Cigars has it rolled at La Tabacaria.
What It Tastes Like
Lure’s cigar page likens it to a spiced Mexican-style cocoa, adding cinnamon heat, leather, cream and espresso. An October 26, 2025 blog review on tinytimblog.blogspot.com found semi-sweet chocolate, brown sugar, cinnamon and lime over black pepper, with black coffee mid-cigar and a body building toward full. We could not find a dated review from Cigar Aficionado, halfwheel or Cigar Coop, so no score appears here.

Cigar Coop reported on October 1, 2025 that Lure had added the Maduro line as its fourth core blend. Halfwheel notes that the toro in the line first surfaced the prior year as a Catch & Release edition under a Mexican San Andrés wrapper, while Cigar Coop describes The Lil’ Trout as a new size.
