Liga Privada H99 Super Ancho

Description

The Liga Privada H99 Super Ancho takes the line’s spicy, Corojo-driven profile and builds it into one of the widest formats in the Liga Privada catalog, giving the blend maximum surface area to develop over a long, unhurried smoke. It’s built for fans who want the H99 character in its most relaxed, gradually-unfolding form.

Construction & Origin

Rolled in a substantial 6 x 60 format, the Super Ancho pairs a rare Connecticut-grown hybrid Corojo-seed wrapper with a Mexican San Andres binder and long-filler tobaccos from Honduras and Nicaragua. Every cigar is hand-rolled at Drew Estate’s La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate in Estelí, Nicaragua. As with the rest of the H99 line, the name points to the specific wrapper varietal at the heart of the blend, a leaf that sets this release apart from the darker Broadleaf wrappers used on Liga Privada’s flagship lines.

Flavor Profile

The wide ring gauge slows the burn and softens the intensity slightly compared to the Robusto and Toro sizes, letting the Corojo-seed wrapper’s spice and natural sweetness unfold gradually alongside cocoa, roasted nuts, and cedar. Black pepper builds steadily in the background, and the San Andres binder keeps an earthy foundation running underneath the wrapper’s brighter, spicier top notes throughout the smoke.

Why It’s Sought After

Liga Privada has cultivated one of the most dedicated followings in the industry, and the H99 line gave that audience a spicier, more aromatic alternative to the brand’s classic Broadleaf blends. The Super Ancho’s generous format makes it a favorite for smokers who want to settle in for a long session without the blend losing balance or intensity along the way.
