Description
The Lure Habano The Tally Allie is a 6 x 52 toro from Lure Cigars’ Habano line: a Nicaraguan puro with a Habano wrapper, an Estelà binder and filler from EstelÃ, Jalapa and Condega. Lure rates it medium in strength.
What It Tastes Like
Lure’s notes for this size mention fresh leather, cinnamon-roll sweetness, roasted coffee and a little cedar. William Cooper of Cigar Coop reviewed it on August 25, 2025, scoring it 89 with a “Buy One” verdict. He found fruit leading early with earth and pepper behind it, then natural tobacco and wood taking over by the midpoint, as strength climbed from medium toward medium-full.

- Morning-coffee smokers drawn to the roast and leather notes Lure describes.

About the Lure Habano Line
Lou Cross III created the fishing-themed Lure brand to honor his father, Lou Cross Jr., an avid angler who died in 2023. The Habano line, Lure’s second, was soft-launched through Luxury Cigar Club in February 2024 ahead of its wider release. Cigar Coop lists Tabacalera Pagés as the factory when its review cigars were bought, and Cross told Smokingpipes in October 2025 that production is now at La Tabacaria in EstelÃ.
Pairing and Storage
With coffee among its listed notes and a medium rating, it sits in the middle tier of our cigar pairing guide: espresso, a bourbon, or a Rioja.
