The Fuente Fuente OpusX Angel’s Share PerfecXion X is a 6 1/4 x 48 toro that is Dominican from wrapper to filler. Fuente’s Angel’s Share chart lists four sizes, and this one shares the line’s wrapper, cut from the plant’s middle primings rather than the top leaves of standard OpusX.
What It Tastes Like
Cigar Aficionado’s Cigar Insider scored this toro 92 in September 2024, with medium-full strength. Ginger, clove and cinnamon came through over light cocoa and raisin, finishing like a spiced gingersnap. Cigar Coop scored it 91 (November 2020) but called it medium, led by smoky tobacco, fruit and black pepper.

About the Angel’s Share
Fuente says the name borrows the winemaking term for wine that evaporates in the barrel, linking it to a warehouse fire that destroyed tobacco dating back to the late 1940s and 1950s. Fuente dates the fire to 2012; Cigar Aficionado and halfwheel place it in 2011.
