Viaje Chicharrones Spicy

Description

The Viaje Chicharrones Spicy is one of three playful blends in Andre Farkas’s Señor Andre’s Chicharrones line — a genuine tribute to the classic Latin snack, first released in 2015 and revived only a handful of times since due to real, ongoing demand.

Construction & Origin

This short, box-pressed robusto uses a Nicaraguan Criollo wrapper — the spiciest of the line’s three cover leaves, alongside a Corojo-wrapped Original and a Maduro-wrapped Bold — over Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos grown on Aganorsa’s own farms. Every Chicharrones cigar is hand-rolled at Tabacos Valle de Jalapa S.A. (TABSA) in Nicaragua. The line takes its playful name from “Señor Andre,” a nod to Viaje founder Andre Farkas himself, packaged together with its Original and Bold siblings in a genuinely limited run.

Flavor Profile

Medium to full-bodied, the Spicy opens with a real blast of red pepper and cinnamon, developing into leather, cedar, dark chocolate, and green herbal notes with a distinctly sweet finish carrying through the smoke. Reviewers consistently note excellent construction and a satisfying draw, with the pepper mellowing slightly through the second third before building back up toward the close.

Why It’s Sought After

Chicharrones has only shipped a handful of times since its 2015 debut — 2018, and again in 2025 — with each return selling through fast among Viaje’s dedicated following. Paired with its Original and Bold siblings, it’s a genuinely fun way to compare three distinct wrapper leaves side by side in one short, approachable format, all from a brand known for cigars that rarely stick around long once they arrive.
