Most cigars are named after one thing — Jacob’s Ladder is named after three: a story from the Book of Genesis, a flowering plant with delicate lavender-blue blooms, and Ethan “Jacob” Holt, son of Southern Draw founders Robert and Sharon Holt.
Construction & Origin
Jacob’s Ladder is widely considered the fullest, boldest offering in Southern Draw’s entire lineup. This Gordo vitola measures 6½” x 60, box-pressed and handmade at AJ Fernandez’s Tabacalera Fernandez factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. It’s wrapped in a dark, oily USA Pennsylvania Broadleaf leaf, over an Ecuadorian Maduro binder, with aged Nicaraguan ligero long-fillers sourced from both Jalapa and Estelí. Each cigar ships sheathed in a cedar sleeve to protect the wrapper before you’re ready to smoke it.
