The Powstanie Wojtek 2023 is a 5 1/2 x 46 box-pressed corona gorda wearing two wrappers in a barber-pole twist: Ecuadorian habano, which covers most of the cigar, and Mexican San Andrés. The binder is Indonesian; halfwheel lists Dominican and Nicaraguan filler, while Cigar Coop named Nicaraguan only.
What It Tastes Like
halfwheel’s review found marshmallow-like sweetness up front, with almond and anise over earth, toast and coffee. Citrus zest and cocoa nibs arrived midway, and the finale turned earthy with espresso, dark chocolate and leather. Strength stayed near medium, and the reviewer warned that fast puffing makes it bitter.

Powstanie, Polish for “uprising,” belongs to Pospiech Cigars, run by Mike and Greg Szczepankiewicz in Deltona, Florida, who also run Cigar Hustler. Wojtek began in 2019 as a 5 x 50 perfecto, skipped 2022, and returned in September 2023 with this fourth installment.

No. halfwheel says the 2025 edition dropped the Wojtek name for War Bear, and both halfwheel and Cigar Coop list it as a 5 7/8 x 60 perfecto; Cigar Coop describes its blend as a modified take on Wojtek.
