Description
The Padrón Serie 1926 No. 2 Belicoso Maduro is a box-pressed belicoso from Padrón’s flagship line, built with tobaccos aged a minimum of five years and dressed in a dark, oily Maduro wrapper for extra richness.
Construction & Origin
This 6 x 54 box-pressed belicoso is a Nicaraguan puro, wrapped in a Nicaraguan Maduro leaf over Nicaraguan binder and filler, hand-rolled at Tabacos Cubanica S.A. in Estelí. Like the rest of the Serie 1926 line, it’s built from tobaccos aged a minimum of five years, honoring company founder José O. Padrón, born in 1926.
Flavor Profile
Full-bodied with the deeper, sweeter notes typical of Maduro fermentation: dark chocolate, espresso, dried fruit, and a peppery spice on the finish, all wrapped in a smooth, tapered draw from the belicoso’s pointed cap.
Why It’s Sought After
The Serie 1926 line is a perennial fixture on Cigar Aficionado’s top-rated lists, and the Maduro wrapper adds a layer of sweetness and complexity that fans of Padrón’s fuller-bodied cigars specifically seek out.
