The Story Behind Carbon Flower
La Flor Dominicana and ProjectCarbon introduced Carbon Flower at the PCA 2026 trade show in New Orleans. La Flor Dominicana’s Tony Gomez described carbon as solid, textured and ominous, and said the company translated those characteristics into the blend. The case is decorated with the LFD flower, the same emblem shown on the cigar’s band.
What Does the LFD Carbon Flower Taste Like?
In its published review, Cigar Dojo described the first third as opening with leather, roasted marshmallow and chocolate buttercream, with black pepper building as it went. In the middle third, black pepper took the lead, balanced by a demerara-like sweetness, dark chocolate and charred oak. In the final third, the charred oak stepped forward while the pepper held on. The reviewer called the draw great and reported a smoking time of about an hour and 45 minutes.
What to Pair with the LFD Carbon Flower
Cigar Dojo’s reviewer suggested an Oaxaca old fashioned, a moderately peated Scotch or black coffee.
