The JFR Lunatic Habano 8 x 80 is an eight-inch belicoso with an 80 ring gauge, built from an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler grown by Aganorsa Leaf. Aganorsa names this size the Mambo, the longest in its Lunatic Habano chart.

No dated independent review of the Habano 8 x 80 surfaced, so it carries no score here. Neptune Cigar’s listing mentions roasted nuts, coffee and baking spice; JR Cigar’s adds leather, charred wood and a touch of maple. In a 52-ring size of this blend, the Short Robusto Habano, Cigar Aficionado found cashew and walnut with coffee bean underneath and scored it 93 (January 1, 2019 issue), No. 7 on its 2018 Top 25.

About the Lunatic Habano
halfwheel identifies the first Lunatic release as an 8 x 80 belicoso, the Mambo, rolled by Casa Fernández at the TABSA factory in Estelà in a Mexican San Andrés wrapper. The Habano edition followed at the 2016 IPCPR show, keeping an 8 x 80 among its four launch sizes, per Cigar Coop. That factory now operates as Aganorsa Leaf, Cigar Aficionado notes.
