Construction & Origin

This 6 1/2 x 52 torpedo is a Nicaraguan puro, with the 1964 Anniversary Natural line traditionally dressed in a lighter, Cameroon-seed-style wrapper grown in Nicaragua over Nicaraguan binder and filler, hand-rolled at Tabacos Cubanica S.A. in Estelí. The 1964 Anniversary Series was first released in 1994 to mark the company’s 30th anniversary and has remained one of Padrón’s most acclaimed lines ever since, built from tobaccos aged longer than the original Thousand Series. The torpedo’s tapered foot concentrates the smoke for a more intense draw than a straight-sided vitola.
