About Don Pepin Garcia

Jose “Pepin” Garcia was born in Cuba and worked in Cuban tobacco and cigar rolling — including for Cohiba, Partagás, and Montecristo — before emigrating in 2001. He founded El Rey de los Habanos in Miami in 2002 and opened Tabacalera Cubana in Estelí, Nicaragua in 2006. Pepin and his son Jaime later built My Father Cigars around the same family operation — Don Pepin Garcia and My Father are sister brands from the same family and factory, not the same name for one brand.
