The My Father Connecticut Robusto is a 5 1/4 x 52 robusto from the My Father Connecticut line, made in Nicaragua with an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper over a Nicaraguan Corojo 99 binder and Nicaraguan Habano-Criollo filler. It is the shortest of the line’s four sizes.
What It Tastes Like
Cigar Aficionado gave the Robusto 90 points in August 2021 and placed it at mild-medium strength. Its tasters found a tart, woody quality that brought white wine to mind, offset by sweeter graham cracker and pecan, with faint almond and cinnamon behind them. The magazine suggested it for people who lean toward lighter cigars.

About My Father Connecticut
PepÃn GarcÃa and his son Jaime blended it, and halfwheel reports that it is rolled at the My Father Cigar Factory in EstelÃ. Per Cigar Coop’s June 2014 report, the company’s earlier Connecticut-wrapped cigars were mostly regional releases or shop exclusives, so this was its first regular-production long filler to use Ecuadorian Connecticut.
