Description
The Toscano Master Aged Serie 1 pairs Tuscan-grown Kentucky-seed leaf with tobacco from Tennessee and Kentucky, all fire-cured, under an Italian wrapper in a slim 6 1/3 x 40 conical shape. Manifatture Sigaro Toscano matures it, like the rest of the Master Aged range, for at least 360 days.
What It Tastes Like
Serie 1 has no published score from halfwheel, Cigar Coop or Cigar Aficionado as far as we can find, so none appears here. Toscano’s June 2022 announcement described a forceful, full-bodied cigar that its long rest rounds out, with toasty aromas. Neptune Cigar points to pepper, spice, wood and citrus over an earthy base. Italian Smokes notes fragrant wood, earth and spice in the aroma, with a savory, faintly bitter palate.

- Sources disagree on its strength (details in the FAQ)
About the Master Aged Line
Cigar Coop reported on June 13, 2022 that Toscano would unveil Master Aged as a trio of blends at PCA in Las Vegas that July. Its extra step is a rest in dedicated maturation rooms, where, beginning on day five, an affinatore monitors temperature and humidity every day.
Pairing and Storage
Dessert wine, red wine or a spirit are the matches Italian Smokes proposes, while for full-strength smokes our cigar pairing guide leans toward a peated Scotch or an older rum.

Toscano Master Aged Serie 1 FAQ
Is the Toscano Master Aged Serie 1 a full-bodied cigar?
Mostly, yes. Toscano’s 2022 launch announcement and halfwheel’s launch report both call it full-bodied, and Neptune Cigar agrees. Italian Smokes is the exception, listing Serie 1 as medium-bodied.
What tobacco goes into Serie 1?
Fire-cured Kentucky-seed leaf from Tuscan, Tennessee and Kentucky fields, finished in an Italian wrapper. Italian Smokes says the wrapper comes from the Valtiberina area of Tuscany and that the cigar has no binder.
How is Serie 1 different from Serie 2?
Both share the 6 1/3 x 40 size, but halfwheel reports that Serie 2 swaps in a Tennessee-grown Kentucky wrapper that is fire-cured for 30 days.
