The Romeo y Julieta 1875 Cedro Deluxe No. 1 is a 6 1/2 x 44 Lonsdale with an Indonesian wrapper over a Dominican binder and Dominican long filler, made in the Dominican Republic by Altadis U.S.A. JR Cigar lists each one in a cedar sleeve, which fits the name: cedro is Spanish for cedar.
What It Tastes Like
Cigar Aficionado gave it 89 points in April 2024 at medium strength, describing earthy, herbal flavors with some toasted almond, though the draw had some resistance. In December 2025 it scored 87 points at mild-medium: pine and eucalyptus led, with touches of nutmeg, earth and vanilla, though a tight draw cut down the smoke. Reviews in 2014, 2017 and 2018 scored it 87, 88 and 89.
