In 1905, four brothers began hand rolling cigars and called them ?Perla del Mar? (Spanish for ?Pearl of the Sea?) in honor of the seas surrounding their native island of Cuba. Today, their work is honored by JC Newman. The Maduro is wrapped in a Connecticut broadleaf with Nicaraguan binder and filler leaves. Despite its appearance, this is a mild-medium smoke and offers creaminess and a dark chocolate note.
