Description
Product Description:
The Padron Family Reserve No. 44 Natural is one of the most celebrated releases in Padrón’s entire history — the cigar that started the legendary Family Reserve series.
Construction & Origin
Created in 2007 to commemorate Padrón’s 44th year in business, this box-pressed torpedo was originally available only at select Padrón family events before eventually being released commercially in limited quantities. Every leaf is Nicaraguan tobacco aged a full 10 years — a rarity in the cigar industry — drawn from Padrón’s own vertically integrated operation, where the family personally oversees growing, aging, and rolling from start to finish.
Flavor Profile
The No. 44 Natural opens with cedar and roasted nuts, building through creamy, spice-forward middle thirds before finishing with leather, coffee, and a hint of cocoa. Cigar Aficionado rated it 95 points, praising its “lush draw” and “complex and flavorful finish.” It’s full-bodied but exceptionally smooth — the kind of balance that only a decade of aging can produce.
Why It’s Sought After
Family Reserve cigars are made to honor significant dates in Padrón family history, and No. 44 was the release that launched the entire line — the same series that later produced Cigar Aficionado’s #1 Cigar of the Year with its 45th Anniversary edition. Sold in genuinely limited quantities at a premium price point, this is widely considered one of the finest cigars Padrón has ever produced, and a serious pickup for any collector’s humidor.
