Description
The Nat Cicco Aniversario 1965 Toro is a 6 x 52 toro, pressed square, built from Nicaraguan binder and filler under an Ecuadorian Habano leaf. Introduced as the top tier of the Nat Cicco range, it carries a twisted pigtail on the head and a wrapper-covered foot.
What It Tastes Like
Cigar Aficionado gave this Toro 93 points in its October 2019 issue and graded it medium-full. Its reviewers described a deep-colored, glossy wrapper and a loose draw, then leather, nuts, caramel and chocolate, with sugary and savory tones evenly matched. Earlier, Cigar Insider (September 25, 2018) scored it 88 and called it medium, finding oak, cocoa and almond but a quieter finish.

About the Aniversario 1965
The name marks 1965, when the National Cigar Company first sold Nat Cicco “Rejects.” Zander-Greg took over its distribution in 2007 and launched Aniversario 1965 in 2012 as its flagship. That launch notice described Nicaraguan Habano-seed leaf throughout; by 2014 Cigar Coop listed an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, as later reviews do.
Pairing and Storage
To match its caramel and chocolate notes, try it beside an aged rum or a bourbon; our cigar pairing guide suggests other drinks for stronger cigars.
