Description
The Liga Privada Unico Serie UF-13 is one of the most talked-about limited releases to come out of the Unico Serie, a small-batch collection Drew Estate uses to experiment outside the boundaries of its core Liga Privada blends. It’s built for collectors who chase down every unusual size and blend variation the brand puts out.
Construction & Origin
Rolled in a substantial 6 x 60 box-pressed format, the UF-13 combines a Connecticut Habano wrapper with a Brazilian binder and long-filler tobaccos from Honduras and Nicaragua. Every cigar is hand-rolled at Drew Estate’s La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate in Estelí, Nicaragua. As part of the Unico Serie, this release was produced in limited quantities and was never intended to be a permanent line extension, which has made original boxes increasingly difficult to find.
Flavor Profile
The Connecticut Habano wrapper delivers a spicier, more aromatic profile than Liga Privada’s Broadleaf-based blends, opening with black pepper and cedar before developing into cocoa, roasted nuts, and a subtle earthy sweetness from the Brazilian binder. The wide ring gauge slows the burn and lets the blend’s complexity unfold gradually, staying full-bodied and well-balanced from light to nub.
Why It’s Sought After
Liga Privada’s Unico Serie releases are prized precisely because they’re one-time experiments rather than standing products, and the UF-13 has developed a strong following among collectors who value that scarcity. It stands out as one of the more distinctive entries in the Liga Privada portfolio, offering a flavor profile that differs meaningfully from the brand’s better-known No. 9 and T52 blends.
