Description
The Espinosa Las 6 Provincias LV is a 5 1/2 x 54 robusto extra with a soft box press, made entirely from Nicaraguan tobacco. LV stands for Las Villas, and this was the third cigar in Espinosa’s Las 6 Provincias series, shipping to stores on Dec. 20, 2021, per halfwheel.
What It Tastes Like
Cigar Coop scored the LV 90 points on June 10, 2022, giving it the site’s Standard of Excellence mark. The reviewer found cocoa in the lead with cherry as the main supporting note and a touch of pepper, while earth grew stronger through the middle until it shared top billing with the cocoa. Strength was rated medium to full, and body reached full in the second half. That December it ranked #22 on Cigar Coop’s Cigar of the Year countdown.

About Las 6 Provincias
Cigar Aficionado reported in 2018 that the series takes its name from Cuba’s provinces before the Castro government redrew the map, and that Erik Espinosa’s son conceived it to honor his Cuban grandfather.
