Description
The Rocky Patel Grand Reserve Robusto is a 5 1/2 x 50 cigar built on a blend Rocky Patel keeps secret; Cigar Aficionado’s ratings list an Ecuadoran wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder and Honduran and Nicaraguan filler. It is the shortest of the line’s three sizes.
What It Tastes Like
Cigar Aficionado scored this Robusto 93 points in its January 2022 issue, where it placed No. 9 on the magazine’s Top 25 Cigars of 2021, and rated it medium-full. The panel described a savory start with leather, then peanut and a meaty note, before the smoke eases toward caramel with a salty edge and licorice. Its October 2021 review scored it 92, also noting wood and orange peel.
