Description
The Zino Nicaragua Robusto is a 5 x 54 robusto that wraps an Ecuadorian Connecticut leaf around a Nicaraguan Semilla 56 binder and a filler drawn from Honduras, Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. Despite the country printed on its band, it is rolled in Honduras at the Diadema Cigars de Honduras factory, according to halfwheel.
What It Tastes Like
William Cooper of Cigar Coop bought this size at retail for his January 25, 2022 review and scored it 89. He found cream up front giving way to toasted cedar over an earthy base, with chestnut, light berry and retrohale pepper, building from mild-medium to medium. halfwheel’s review, which shows no publish date, picked up dry toast and white pepper early, corn flakes in the middle, a little sweet cedar later, and a final third that grew peppery and sometimes harsh.
Who It’s For
- Connecticut-wrapper smokers wanting more earth and pepper.

- Smokers with about 100 minutes, halfwheel’s average burn time.
