Description
The Warped Cloud Hopper No. 53 is a 5 1/4 x 42 corona and a Nicaraguan puro, with a Corojo ’99 wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder, and Corojo ’99 plus Criollo ’98 in the filler. Brothers Kyle and Devin Gellis created it; halfwheel says every leaf is Aganorsa tobacco, and Cigar Aficionado (October 2026) places production at Aganorsa Leaf.
What It Tastes Like
Cigar Aficionado scored the No. 53 at 93 points in its January 1, 2022 issue and ranked it eleventh among its Top 25 cigars of 2021, describing gingerbread, cocoa and sweet baking spice ahead of a nutty close. In its later redux tasting, halfwheel picked up bittersweet chocolate, creamy oak and a floral sweetness backed by leather, toast and hay. One March 2022 review opens on dominant pepper before molasses, earth and wood settle in.
