Liga Privada 10th Aniversario Toro

Description

The Liga Privada 10th Aniversario Toro was released to mark a full decade of the Liga Privada name, and Drew Estate used the occasion to build around a wrapper leaf unlike anything else in the lineup. It’s a limited-production release aimed squarely at collectors who already know the Liga Privada catalog inside and out.

Construction & Origin

Rolled in a 6 x 52 toro vitola, the 10th Aniversario is built around a rare Connecticut River Valley-grown Criollo-seed wrapper, paired with carefully selected binder and long-filler tobaccos chosen to complement the wrapper’s character. Every cigar is hand-rolled at Drew Estate’s La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate in Estelí, Nicaragua. As a limited production run tied to the brand’s 10th anniversary, this release was never intended as a permanent addition to the line, which has kept demand for remaining boxes high since its debut.

Flavor Profile

The Criollo-seed wrapper delivers a distinct spice and earthiness up front, layered with cedar, dark cocoa, and a subtle dried-fruit sweetness that builds as the cigar progresses. Black pepper runs throughout, balanced by a rounded, full-bodied core that reflects the careful tobacco selection behind this anniversary blend. The finish is long and complex, rewarding a slow, deliberate smoke.

Why It’s Sought After

Liga Privada has built its reputation on scarcity as much as on flavor, and a limited anniversary release amplifies that appeal considerably. Collectors and longtime Liga Privada fans seek out the 10th Aniversario specifically because it represents a one-time expression of the blend that won’t be repeated, making it a notable addition to any serious humidor.
