The Gurkha Cellar Reserve 18 Year Hedonism is a 6 x 58 perfecto with a Corojo wrapper over Dominican binder and filler, rolled in the Dominican Republic. It is the Hedonism size of Gurkha’s Cellar Reserve Edición Especial, a blend Gurkha says is built on tobacco aged 18 years.
What It Tastes Like
We found no published review of the Hedonism size from a major outlet. halfwheel smoked the smaller 5 x 58 Solara with this blend before its August 2014 release, finding raspberry, coffee bean and baking spice early, a bready, nutty middle, then burnt coffee, leather and toast, with strength peaking at medium-full. Neptune Cigar’s Hedonism listing mentions espresso, almond and earth.

About the Cellar Reserve 18 Year
Cigar Coop reported in July 2014 that Gurkha would add this Corojo-wrapped blend as the third Cellar Reserve, after the 2011 original with a Criollo ’98 wrapper and the 2013 Limitada with a Brazilian Arapiraca wrapper. halfwheel lists Tabacalera Las Lavas as the factory.

That is Gurkha’s claim, not independently verified. Gurkha’s site lists 18-year Dominican filler and quotes Kaizad Hansotia on finding an 18-year-old Corojo, while Cigar Coop’s 2014 report listed the binder and filler as 18 years old.
How is it different from the Cellar Reserve 15 Year Hedonism?
