The Arturo Fuente Don Carlos No. 2 is a 5 7/8-inch pyramid with a 44/55 ring, wrapped in African Cameroon leaf over Dominican tobacco. Cigar Aficionado dates its debut to 1997 and says its binder and filler draw on long-aged stock from Fuente’s own reserves.
What It Tastes Like
Cigar Aficionado’s newest review (February 2023) scored the No. 2 94 points and rated it medium-full. Tasters called it bold, with caramel and cocoa up front and a long finish of fresh tobacco; it smoked slowly and stayed cool despite a firm draw. An October 2013 tasting rated it medium at 92 points, noting nut, cocoa, cedar sweetness and a hint of red pepper.
