Description
The JFR Maduro Titan measures 6 x 60 and comes from Aganorsa Leaf’s core JFR Maduro line, built on a dark wrapper with Nicaraguan Aganorsa binder and filler. Aganorsa notes a pigtail cap and tucked foot across the line.
What It Tastes Like
We found no independent review of the Titan itself. For a different size, Cigar Insider, from Cigar Aficionado, scored the 5 x 70 JFR Maduro Mi Favorito Grande 88 points on June 6, 2023 and called it medium. Tasters found earth and wood with graham cracker, cedar and spice, plus a charred finish and some relighting.
Who It’s For
- Smokers after a thick 60 ring without moving up to the 70-plus rings of JFR’s biggest Lunatic sizes.
- Fans of Nicaraguan leaf curious about a vertically integrated grower’s own tobacco.
- Smokers who like a pigtail cap and a closed foot.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Nicaraguan binder and filler from Aganorsa, which describes itself as vertically integrated from seed onward
- Same 6 x 60 frame as the JFR Titan Corojo, so the two wrappers are easy to compare
Cons
- No published review of this exact size
- Sources disagree on the wrapper

Casa Fernández later took the Aganorsa Leaf name. halfwheel reported that the JFR 770 debuted at the 2011 IPCPR show, where 1,000 boxes were made and 1,800 ended up sold.

JFR Maduro Titan FAQ
What wrapper does the JFR Maduro Titan use?
Aganorsa Leaf’s current JFR Maduro page and Cigar Coop’s November 2013 report both list a Mexican San Andrés wrapper. halfwheel’s prerelease review of the JFR Junior said the smaller sizes then used a Habano maduro leaf, and JR Cigar’s Titan listing still says Habano.
How strong is the JFR Maduro Titan?
No independent outlet has rated its strength. JR Cigar lists it as medium-full, and Cigar Insider called the 5 x 70 Mi Favorito Grande medium in 2023.
What does JFR stand for?
Just For Retailers. Cigar Coop reported in August 2016 that the brand was aimed mainly at walk-in tobacco shops.
How is it different from the JFR 20th Anniversary Maduro Titan BP?
Both are 6 x 60 in Mexican San Andrés leaf. The anniversary cigar dates to the 2025 PCA show, per Cigar Coop, and is box-pressed, per halfwheel; Aganorsa’s core JFR Maduro page lists no press.
