The Sancho Panza Extra Fuerte Gigante is a 5 7/8 x 60 cigar with an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, a Connecticut broadleaf binder and Dominican and Nicaraguan filler, made in Honduras.
What It Tastes Like
We found no dated review of the Gigante, so these notes cover the same blend in the Robusto (5 x 50). Cigar Aficionado’s Cigar Insider gave the Robusto 91 points on October 25, 2022 and rated it medium in strength, citing gingerbread, baking spice, brown sugar and molasses before a sweet, tea-like close. Blind Man’s Puff’s panel, also calling it medium, found salted dark chocolate, leather and pepper early, nuttiness midway, then espresso, dates and cinnamon late, with oak and pepper on the retrohale.

About the Sancho Panza Extra Fuerte
Cigar Aficionado’s 2004 Top 25 entry credits General Cigar with introducing an earlier Extra Fuerte that year as a spicier take on its Honduran Sancho Panza. In 2022 the company reworked the brand into three blends, with Matt Booth and Justin Andrews developing them alongside the STG Danlà team, per halfwheel.
